Four members of the Class of 1970 were fortunate to be able to attend the American Veterans Center's annual General Andrew J. Goodpastor Lecture and Prize. As seen, Barry Steelman, John Montgomery and Lynn Widener are with the 2017 award recipient, retired 4 Star Admiral James Stavridis, a Distinguished Graduate of the Class of 1976, former Commander of destroyers and a carrier strike group in combat. He culminated his over 35 year naval career as the 16th Supreme Allied Commander at NATO, a position also held by General Goodpastor and his boss Gen. Eisenhower. Pretty good company. The Admiral is currently the Dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
